On Monday May 30, 2016, A-1 Home Care Agency had the pleasure of spending Memorial Day with the Veterans Association out in Long Beach. Case Manager Jackie Brown and Representative Estevan Romero were serving a variety of tasty desserts and handing out lunch cooler giveaways, courtesy of A-1 Home Care, at the BBQ celebration for the veterans and their families.
Recreation coordinator Mark put together a great turn out and spent much of the event running the grill himself preparing tons of food for the guests. Patriotism was in the air as is always the case down at the Long Beach VA and the mood was great all day. Morning clouds and haze gave way for sunshine and clear skies as all of those in attendance enjoyed beautiful Southern California weather. Local area musicians ‘Concrete Outlaws’ provided live entertainment featuring a 2-singer ensemble covering rock n roll hits from years past to the delight of Veterans and guests alike. A-1 Home Care and the rest of the awesome volunteers were serving fresh BBQ, ice cream, pies, cakes and cookies to everyone celebrating the holiday. A-1 Home Care Agency is beyond excited for this opportunity to give back and volunteer our time and effort for these deserving individuals.
Established since 1991, A-1 Home Care has grown to serve Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino and surrounding communities. Veterans and guests were both pleased to learn about some of the many different types of services offered by A-1 such as after-surgery care, meal preparation, post-stroke care and more. Our trained and skilled staff of non-medical home care professionals are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Long Beach Veterans Association and A-1 Home Care Agency are committed to giving back and showing appreciation for everything our Vets have done. It is with the utmost appreciation for these brave men and women and the service to their country they have given that we embark on this new relationship together.
