Janet is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in providing mental health services to older adults, the majority of her work is through home-visits to make psychological services more accessible. She completed her predoctoral clinical training in neuropsychology at Laguna Honda Hospital and her postdoctoral training at the Institute on Aging in San Francisco and Bay Area Psychological Services. Over the past seventeen years, she has worked with older adults and their families in various areas including advocacy, marketing, program development, consultation, neuropsychological assessment and individual, family and group psychotherapy. Her research interests include dementia care, neuropsychology, and understanding the relationship between coping skills and adjustment to later life transitions and relocations. As a clinician, she works with older adults and their families to assess and treat mental health challenges associated with the second half of life including late life depression, anxiety, complicated bereavement, adjustment disorders, substance abuse problems, and cognitive impairment.
