Caregiving is hard work. No one wants to be a caregiver, it’s done in an act of love. Few people are trained in cargiving, yet it is one of the most prolific of chores in this country. It is physically demanding, evokes many emotions, and takes away from our schedules, work, and families. Caregivers can be volunteers, usually family members, or trained professionals with medical training.
Come hear from the experts on how best to learn about the art and techniques of caregiving.
From Older Adults Care Management (OACM) Cheri Jackson CMC, RCFE, OACM’s Director under the Institute on Aging along with Stephne Lencioni, MSW, CMC, a Geriatric Care Manager, will talk about caregiving and their roles in it.
From Family Caregiver Alliance Christina Irving, a Family Consultant. FCA provides information and referral, family consultations, and educational workshops and classes throughout the 6 counties in the Bay Area.
